What is Permanent Makeup? Permanent Makeup, or micropigmentation, is a procedure that carefully implants colored pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. I perform this procedure with a double coil tattoo machine, the same instrument that is used by traditional tattoo artists. It's a fast powerful method that quickly implants pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. It is interesting to note that the art is actually believed to have started back with the ancient Egyptians where permanent eyeliner was common among both men and women.
